What is the Low Sugar Challenge?

What is one ingredient that most healthcare providers will tell you is a HUGE factor in excess weight gain?

SUGAR.

When most people think of sugar, they think candy, soda, and baked goods. But did you know sugar could be hiding in other foods as well?

This challenge is designed to help you determine how much sugar you are actually eating, where in your diet it could be hiding, and how to rebalace your body with healthy options that taste great!

Is this challenge right for you?

The Low Sugar Challenge is designed for clients who:

  • are pre-diabetic
  • have Type II diabetes
  • have inflammatory issues
  • or those who want to reduce their sugar intake

A low-glycemic meal plan designed with recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Meal plans average 1720 calories and 30 grams of sugar per day.

How to Get Started with the Low Sugar Challenge

Nutrition

To ease into the plan start by consuming cleaner less processed food, along with more fluids. 

Start eliminating processed and packaged foods like candies, chips, frozen foods, and starchy foods like pasta, bread, and pizza. 

Start reducing your caffeine and alcohol consumption.  Green tea is ok.

During the Low Sugar Challenge you will be prompted to follow a diet that includes:

  • fresh fruits and vegetables
  • lean protein (organic poultry and wild caught fish)
  • plenty of fluids.

The recipes in this plan are gluten free and diary free.

** Vegan and lean meat options also available. **

Specific meal plans are provided each day along with recipes and shopping list. 

Movement

Along with healthy eating make sure to get in plenty of movement each day. 

At a minimum aim of 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 5 times a weekly. 

Movement may also improve your energy, as well as aid in healthy digestion and elimination.  

Meditation

Meditation can be helpful with stress management. 

Introducing 10 – 15 minutes of mindful meditation, restorative breathing, or yoga stretches into your daily routine.   

Track for Success

Daily tracking keeps you motivated and keeps track of your success and progress.   

This challenge can be done individually or with a group.
